Representing the EEA at the 19th meeting of the CoR ENVE Commission

This week, I joined the 19th meeting of the ENVE Commission of the European Committee of the Regions in Malaga, Spain to deliver a statement on the state of environmental health in Europe on behalf of the European Environment Agency. The statement will support the drafting of an ENVE Commission’s opinion on ‘Green Deal and Health‘.

In my presentation, which you can watch at this link, I stressed the important role that local governments can play in addressing environmental risk factors and reducing environmental health inequalities in European cities and regions.

I am grateful to the ENVE Commission’s Secretariat and to the opinion’s rapporteur, President of Andalusia Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, for the invitation and the opportunity to support this process.
